“I don’t have a background in hair — is this really for me?”
Yes. Some of our strongest graduates came from completely outside the industry. The course covers everything from absolute zero. What matters is a genuine interest in the craft and the people you’re helping.
“Is an online course really as good as in-person training?”
The honest answer: in-person training at HRC is the gold standard, and that option exists if you want it. The online course is the best available alternative because it’s filmed on real clients in real appointments — not a demonstration staged for a camera. You see everything. You can pause and rewatch as many times as you need, which most people find more useful than a single in-person day. Many of our graduates who’ve done both say the online course gave them more.
“Will there be enough demand in my area?”
Almost certainly yes. Two thirds of men experience significant hair loss by 35. Outside the major cities, properly trained specialists are rare to the point of being almost non-existent in most areas.
